\u201cThe work that I imagine producing as part of the Picto Lab \/ Exp\u00e9rimenter avec l\u2019Image residency is linked to the enthusiasm that was mine when I recently discovered two small color prints made by Germaine Krull around 1968. These reference images come to reawaken areas of work that have not been completed until now. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Sandrine Marc uses photography as a tool for investigation and experimentation. She takes \u201cslivers of reality\u201d by focusing her attention on tenuous situations and ephemeral arrangements. The architecture, the plants, the surface conditions, the incidence of light draw a constantly expanding corpus. To activate her images and think of the materiality of photography, she designs tools: printed objects, projected films, installations. Editing is the condition to show the fragments she collects. She uses different reproduction processes, her research questions the conditions of production, distribution, and sharing of the still image.<\/p>\n
