Biography

Céline Bischoff is a photographer and filmmaker whose practice spans art direction, production, and image-making. This multidisciplinary background has led her to develop a transversal approach in which fashion, music, literature, and cinema intersect freely. She conceives each project as a space of circulation between disciplines, blurring established boundaries.
Her work centers on the body as a site of fiction and transformation. Through costume, staging, and the direction of performers, she constructs visual narratives in which fashion becomes a language. Whether working in analog or digital, she pays particular attention to the materiality of the image and to processes of making.
Across both personal and commissioned projects, her work is driven by a shared intention: to create contemporary and inclusive mythologies, where silhouettes reinvent archetypes and open up new imaginaries.

La Perle

La Perle is a photographic series developed alongside the eponymous music video created with Bonnie Banane. It follows a wandering knight, born from the waters, engaged in an initiatory journey where transformation unfolds through costume, staging, and bodily performance. Conceived as a contemporary altarpiece structured in triptychs, the series consists of seventeen images produced during the filming.
The photographs act as a mirror to the narrative of the video, unfolding a pictorial language where chiaroscuro, punk aesthetics, and gothic imagery converge. The project is organized into four movements, each defined by distinct sets and characters, whose color palettes trace both seasonal shifts and the character’s inner evolution.
Through a queer sensibility, La Perle reinterprets figures of chivalry and martyrdom—particularly Saint Sebastian—as emblems of desire and vulnerability. The silhouettes, created with a stylist and costume designer using reclaimed materials, engage with emerging eco-conscious designers, positioning fashion as both a narrative language and the site of an inclusive contemporary mythology.
