Jean Marques (born in 1996) is a graphic designer and photographer based in Paris, France. His work is defined by an intimate and raw exploration of everyday life. “Call Time” is a series that immerses us in the backstages of fashion, where raw reality takes precedence over polished appearances. It focuses on those often invisible moments, where beauty is not yet shaped, where imperfections and urgency take over. The details, free from retouching and artifice, reveal a raw beauty, more authentic yet often overlooked.
The series questions how beauty is constructed, exposing what the fashion industry tends to erase. Behind the perfect image, there is fatigue, haste, and sometimes even suffering.
Models, often pressed by time constraints and a strict schedule dictated by the call sheet, must reinvent themselves in a rush, enduring the pressure to become beautiful again.
In this tension between chaos and transformation, another form of beauty emerges, marked by vulnerability.
