Island Time Forgot

“Island Time Forgot” references the title given to the Cayman Islands centuries ago, originally a remote, self-sustaining seafaring community. Different generations skillfully wove clothing and accessories from the fronds of the Silver Thatch Palm. The connection between the archipelago’s history and the artists’ practice flourished following the participation in the Open Palm residency at Palm Heights, curated by Keshav Anand. Composed entirely of natural elements, the series highlights the enduring significance of traditional craftsmanship.
