Finalists – Picto Fashion Photography Award 2026 : Maud Rallière
Biography
Maud Rallière, born in 1998, is a French photographer and filmmaker. She left her native village early to study applied arts and digital design in southern France, shaping her personal and artistic identity. After earning a degree in graphic design and digital communication, she moved to Paris to join the photography and video program at Gobelins, L’École de l’Image. During her final year, she worked with the creative studio at PUIG, gaining insight into luxury and fashion through campaigns for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Nina Ricci, and Paco Rabanne. Her work today explores the body, the senses, and the mind, blending textures, editorial composition, and raw sensitivity. Her series Corps à Corps was presented at the Ragusa Foto Festival in Sicily.
L'Inconfort du beau
L’Inconfort du Beau investigates the sharpness of a raw gaze, serving an uncompromising, visceral aesthetic. Maud Rallière shapes a plastic, fashion-oriented photography that is felt as much as it is seen. Through an organic exploration of bodies and bold use of light, she captures the roughness of the living, confronting viewers with the unvarnished splendor of skin. Beauty and fashion become sensitive, sculptural fields where the female form asserts itself with confidence. Shadows are carved, the texture of skin caressed, and clean lines traced to strike as much as they whisper. By revealing cracks beneath classical perfection, Maud transforms the unsettling detail into the ultimate accessory of unembellished beauty.
